Blue Backed Mayfly Nymph
This little gem is an old favorite that I like to fish during some of the medium sized mayfly emergences we see. This particular pattern shines pre-emergence when many of the nymphs begin to get active in the drift, and their wingbuds get dark and ready to split. You can also use this as a great in the film dropper as well trailed behind a bushy mayfly adult.
