Gierachs Little Brown Trout

Although he was primarily known for his prolific writing and numerous books on the many stories about a life lived around flyfishing, John Gierach had a few fly patterns to his name.  I was lucky enough to have John come up to my tying table in Denver one year and we discussed Pike fishing of all things. Great man, amazing author and a solid tyer.  He will be forever missed, but his literary prowess and flies live on, this is one of his better patterns.
