There are literally hundreds of scud patterns on the market from simple to overly complex. Over the years I have fished all sorts in both categories and I turn to this simple design everytime. This pattern although impressionistic looks like the naturals once wet as the underbody bleeds through giving the appearance of the translucency found in the naturals. My good buddy Mike and I tweaked this Bighorn design slightly by substituting colored wire in the underbody for durability and color and it has stuck ever since.
